Pre-Approved in minutes?!

How long should it take to get a pre-approval? We all have heard the stories of how difficult it is and how long it takes to get pre-approved with your VA loan. The truth of the matter is, it isn't.

It should be no more difficult than sending an online application, a few documents, and a verification of your credit standing. Of course, the process can vary based on your current financial situation and the complexity of your financing. If you have the right mortgage professional on your team, you should be able to complete a full pre-approval swiftly.

An active-duty service member should only need the following in order to become fully pre-approved:

- Online application (10 minutes)

- Most recent LES

- Last two years of W2's

- Most recent 2 months of bank statements

Once these are received the mortgage professional should be able to review your application, validate your info, and run the necessary systems to give you a full pre-approval. The whole process from start to finish should be able to be completed the same day if you are able to provide the necessary items.

Do not let the process intimidate you and don't let the wrong professional waste your time. Your VA loan has some of the most flexible qualifying guidelines of any loan program. Qualifying should be quick, easy, and painless.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any additional questions related to your VA home loan entitlement or getting qualified.

VA Loan is NOT a ONE and DONE Entitlement

With rent prices expected to rise 10-16% in 2022, there's never been a better time to leverage your BAH and your VA home loan. If you don’t, you are literally throwing away your money! Don’t be like the Jones’, a family we had assisted with getting into homeownership after spending six years on base, and use your benefits later rather than sooner. This type of thought process can cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars. They had spent over $240,000+ of tax-free BAH, during this time frame, while homes appreciated over $250,000+ within that 6 year period. This family’s net worth should be half a million more than what it is right now, however, fear of the unknown and lack of information caused them to rent for longer than they should have. Your military BAH is designed to support the local cost of living wherever you are stationed. Don’t throw your money away or give it back to Uncle Sam after everything you are already doing for this country. Your VA loan should be utilized as a wealth-building tool that can create a future you never thought possible. Here is a short testimonial from the family we just liberated from on-base housing: "What awesome realtor to have in your corner, working hard and dedicated like Deven Ortiz and his team. My name is Jesse and I'm a military active member. My family and I lived in military housing for over 6 years and during that time we gave over $240,000+ dollars towards military housing. So you can imagine how happy we were to finally put our military benefits to use in a beautiful home while under a highly motivated, go-getter like Deven Ortiz. Our family is greatly blessed and appreciative to you for helping us get into our dream home. Thank you!" - Jones Family
